New Delhi: Last night, at a private hospital in Chennai, actor Daniel Balaji, who was mostly involved in Tamil films, passed away from a heart attack. According to reports, the actor complained of chest problems yesterday and was taken to the hospital.

The abrupt passing of the 48-year-old actor surprised both his admirers and the Tamil cinema industry.

Daniel Balaji began his professional career in Kamal Haasan’s incomplete film “Marudhunayagam” as a unit production manager.

Subsequently, he transitioned to television by appearing in Radikaa Sarathkumar’s “Chithhi,” where he played a character named Daniel, which gave him the screen name Daniel Balaji.

He portrayed noteworthy characters in the films Vettaiyadu Vilayadu and Kakka Kakka.

‘April Madhathil’, a Tamil film, marked his screen debut in 2022. He acted in multiple Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films in addition to Tamil ones.

His last appearance was in “Ariyavan.”
